Tell me…

So tell me when the birds
fly and go with a message of hope
that you’ll receive and pocket it
dearly. That even through cries and doubt
its remembrance will be enough to sustain
any blows. You will glide with infinite light
shining life’s dark places, making them
your own warm and fuzzy spaces, breaking down
all fences. Becoming gentle with opening arms,
you ought to eradicate oppression’s harm, a
guiding force, sadness’s unbearable blur
as joy creeps in, feeling rest assured. Tell me that
you’ll bring along a friend, that will be with you
till the very end, as you share the birds’ song
during the happy engraved moments.
