Swiftly Leaving

Hello there,
don’t have a face so austere
I’m trying to speak here
so listen very carefully
I know what I’ve said
that my heart did beat red
for you and your many smiles
a place I would lay in for a while
I did not lie at the moment
nor did expect this feeling to be such torment
see, I am damaged goods
perpetually running through thick woods
I pocketed my tears
expunged my romantic fears
I no longer desire to fight
I simply want to rest under the lonely light
I know you’re sad
I did not intend to make you feel bad
you thought that I was the one, feeling rad
well, I am not the best you’ve ever had
departing is my destiny
let me swiftly leave you be
so that love does not catch me.
