Neatly Packaging

Sit down and closely listen
all I’ve been doing during isolation
is neatly packaging
yes, little packages out of my body’s doors
sweeping clean my bony floors
by putting secrets, upset faces and emotions
in forgetful boxes without hesitation.

Oh I am not ashamed
see, I’ve learned that solitude can tame
your ardent fires, bringing in the reasonable
no expectations, no more fighting the incurable
just slowly and surely accept
instead of constant blind intercept.

Watch my little scandalous boxes
swim over salacious oceans
no more haunted by hungry foxes
or in need of fastidious refinements
look at them floating easily
without so much imminent travesty
as the orange sunset shines brightly
over my cloudless destiny.
