without the time and day
to even look at the sun
to stop, stare and have fun
Been away
forgetting how to pray
checking hopelessly on the heart
so desperate for it to start
Been away
soul and everything slayed
the world’s not everyone’s oyster
the earlier you know this, the better
Been away
wanting to no longer stay
I packed my heavy bags
solely with life’s simplest rags.
