birds are chirping
and following the melody
i notice that my heart is singing
it is whispering something anew
even in the midst of relentless tragedy
i think of you
i think of all we’ve said so far
the happy lights glowing on your face
imagination helping me temper impatience’s race.
am i in love?
i asked the spirits above
they’ve been busy
hoping to save humanity
they told me to chill
cause no matter how wondrous i feel
they don’t have time for such trivial affair
i laughed reading their postcard
filled with magic and heart-shape darts.
